John & Alberta Blake

Deaf Ministry Director for Alberta Conference of SDA

Pastor John Blake is a leader in Deaf Ministry from Lacombe, Alberta.  His wife, Alberta, is a retired teacher of the Deaf and they have two Deaf and two Hearing children.  Pastor Blake specializes in the production of signed video materials by Deaf people, or children of Deaf adults.  Bake is also working with others in fostering development of ministry to Deaf in India.  He and a deaf pastor made a trip to India in 2002.  At the moment they are fostering 12 full time workers with the Deaf in India, some of whom are deaf themselves.  Blake was just in China in September 2004 and there is now a pioneer experimental worker just starting in China.  See their web site at www.deafhope.org.

 

Paul & Tina Kelly

Teacher/Pastor of the Deaf

Paul was born deaf to deaf parents in Edmonton, Alberta.  He was baptized into Silver Spring Seventh-day Adventist Church in Maryland on May 14, 1977 while he was a student at Gallaudet University in Washington, D. C.  He is married to Tina for nearly 25 years and has three Deaf/HH children.  He and his wife currently live in Rochester, New York.  He is a Technology Education Teacher at Rochester School for the Deaf.  He also is a Pastor of the Deaf since 1984.
