In spite of the heat waves, we attended all day programs and enjoyed fellowships. We had a long Bible Study for the rest of the cooling evening. We are looking forward to our first Deaf Camp Meeting in 2007.

Deaf Youth Day |
May 20th, 2006 |
What blessing'n'fun day! We had four youths joining us for special day to show honor to God and to get to know more about Jesus. We studied Galatians 5:22,23 to learn more about the fruits of the Holy Spirit. We also learn about the future's warnings in Daniel chapter 2. After a long intense hours of studying, we went to Farrah's place for potluck to revive ourselves for hiking at Wigmore Park's Nature Trail. We watched the Final Events and had a long discussion for the whole evening. Some stay longer to catch up. Since we enjoy spending some time together, we are looking forward to meet again on Saturday June 17th. Mark your calendar!

Mayfest |
May 12th, 2006 |
The Mayfest got off to a start with over 80 exhibitors. I represented the Toronto Deaf SDA Ministries. This year I was able to interact more with the deaf community. As a result I made 5 contacts interested in Bible Study and raised $109 from the sale of literature and other products. Two people touched my heart, a 9 year old boy and a middle aged woman. The boy wanted to buy a Bible so I gave him one to keep. He was so excited that he ran off... maybe to show his Bible to his parents. The woman took 2 sets of Bible study series and stated that she believes in Jesus' Second Coming. Amen! I hugged her and gave her more Bible Study Series, so she could share the Good News with her friends. I also met some deaf people whose generations were SDA. It was also an opportunity to meet with old friends and encourage them to come to visit with us at Harmony SDA Church. I need your prayer for these people whose lives have been touched by the work of the Toronto Deaf SDA Ministries. Pray that the seed sown will grow by God's Grace. Amen.
